"Stirling Falls"
Milford Sound is spectacular, of that there is no doubt. Rain or shine, sunrise or sunset, first visit or fiftieth, it never fails to mesmerise.
From the moment you come out through Homer's tunnel, the sheer scale and grandeur grabs your heart. massively high sheer cliff faces surround you. "In through the Devil's Gate", was how it first seemed to me during a severe thunderstorm back in the 90's. So much to capture the eye and the heart here but for me the challenge has always been Stirling Falls.

Every day, every hour is different, the power of the water cascading down, the patterns in the water, all of it consumes me, fascinates the photographer in me. It is a challenge thrown down by to me by Mother Nature or maybe by Poseidon himself.
One day it will be perfect, one day it will be done, but not yet.
