Who noticed the missing limb ?

Major breakdown Wednesday morning just after our Timaru meet point on SH1.

A mobile unit came out and got us mobile again so we could make it back to their yard. They quickly shifted the middle axle to the front axle position and had us safely back on the road with only a 2 hour delay to schedule.

This is exactly why we chose a triple axle trailer setup — it’s designed to keep us moving in situations like this and can be adapted when unexpected issues happen.

The unit went on to complete the van’s schedule via Whanganui and Tauranga with minimal disruption, while the van took over the large unit’s run to keep all pets moving safely and on schedule.

Huge thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding while we worked through it. We’re proud of how smoothly the team handled a difficult situation and kept the trip rolling.

And just like that … after a very eventful trip…
23-29th May Pet Trip is finished with a home delivery.

I’ll pop a post up with full details and pictures, but I have to say I’m extremely proud to say, even with a major breakdown, we came together for another successful trip with minor disruption.

Awesome team efforts to get Jack his second chance!! All the best lil man!

latest kindness kitty recipient… meet Jack, this gorgeous little guy found himself in the care of council.

he got an amazing home offer well beyond the ruapehu boundaries, and we were asked if we could assist with transportation costs to his new home.

wild horses wouldn’t stop us.. we love homes doing their bit to give a poundie a new beginning.
Cue a4dibble_pet_transport who worked very sweet magic, managed to add him to their current trip north… which was literally in transit…. and Jack was delivered to the meeting point today by a pound team member - and he is en route to his new home.

massive thanks to Kirsty Bjornberg and her team for their efforts to help us all seize the moment.
