Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month is one that feels incredibly close to home for our team. 💙
Our team has the privilege of supporting people living with dementia and Alzheimer’s every single day and it’s a reminder that kindness, patience, and genuine connection matter more than we often realise.
Being Dementia Friends is something our team is very proud of, and we continue to build our knowledge and skills so we can better support both clients and their families through every stage of the journey.
While transport is part of what we do, it’s often the little things that make the biggest difference:

💙 Offering reassurance and familiarity
💙 Helping someone maintain independence
💙 Being a friendly, trusted face each week
This month is about raising awareness, encouraging understanding, and reminding people that those living with dementia deserve compassion, dignity, and support within our communities.

Driving Miss Daisy Invercargill will be closed King's Birthday Weekend Sat 30th May, Sun 31 May and Mon 1st June.

Hello! We are Dee and Mike Anderson and are the owners Driving Miss Daisy in Invercargill.

Mike and I have been ‘Integrated Southlanders’ for 30 years. Mike has a background in farming and has owned and operated ‘Southland Monumental Masons’ for over 12 years. I have always loved people and found my niche in reception and office roles dealing with clients and the public. It’s now time to for us to bring our strengths together in our Driving Miss Daisy business.

Driving Miss Daisy is a safe and trustworthy pre-booked driving companion service. All our drivers are trained in First Aid and are Police vetted; be rest assured you are in safe hands.

We are pleased to offer a number of reliable vehicles, including a wheelchair accessible vehicle to cater for your travelling needs. We offer so much more than transportation, our wrap around service offers :

🚙 Door to Door travel to appointments, airport, grocery shopping, general shopping trips and even pets to vet service!
🚙 Safe secure transport for children to school, after school activities, programmes, music lessons, sports practices, when you can’t be there.
🚙 Our drivers are a caring companion to accompany you to appointments; shopping or an event you need help getting to!
