Due to an increased work load and an inhouse restructure Milnes Transport are currently looking for an experienced operator to take the seat in our JCB spreader.

This role will provide a good variety of work including but not limited to fertiliser and muck spreading and vacuum tank work.
Ideally we are looking for somebody that's self starting, reliable, honest , a team player and is not scared to jump in and help out in other areas if the need arises.

Looking for x2 bobby calf lifters

This is a casual position from beginning of August to the start of November.

Roughly starting at 6.30am till 1.00pm

The days will vary for the first 6 weeks it is likely to be 6 days a week.
As the season goes on the days per week will be less eg. drops to 4 days a week then 3 days a week ect.

We will require you to work 6 days a week at the beginning of the season, Monday to Saturday.

There is the potential for one of these positions to be based out of Lorneville.
The other will be from Isla Bank.

Gumboots will be required - we can supply overalls.

You must be fit and able to lift 25kg plus calves.

Must have transportation to get to and from work everyday.

You must be willing to turn up to work everyday.

Give a Bale, Get Us Rolling 🚍

With the rising cost of hiring buses, many of our players are missing out on one of rugby’s great traditions — travelling together to away games. Those bus trips build team spirit, connection, and memories that last well beyond the final whistle.

Riverton Rugby Club is aiming to change this by raising funds to purchase our own club bus, making travel more affordable and accessible for as many players as possible across all grades.

We’re asking local farmers to consider donating baleage to support this project. Every bale donated will help get us closer to keeping our teams on the road and together.

As a thank you, all donors will be acknowledged with their name sign-written directly onto the bus — a lasting show of support for grassroots rugby in our community.
