Last week at Keas, we put our teamwork and creativity to the test as we worked towards our Vertical Adventure Skills Badge by creating an amazing indoor cave!

Using boxes, blankets, tables, and chairs, the Keas worked together to design and build a cave that stretched throughout the entire hall. It was fantastic to see everyone cooperating, sharing ideas, and helping one another to bring the cave to life.

Once it was complete, we explored our cave with the lights on and then with the lights off. It was amazing how different it felt in the dark, and there were plenty of excited squeals and laughs as everyone navigated their way through!

After all the fun, the Keas showed just as much teamwork by working together to quickly deconstruct the cave and tidy up the hall.

What a fantastic night of cooperation, problem-solving, and adventure. Well done, Keas!

What an absolutely fantastic morning we had at our Pink Ribbon Breakfast today! 💗

Together we raised over $1000 for breast cancer support and research — an incredible effort from our amazing community!

A HUGE B.R.A.V.O to Michelle and Lindy for all of your hard work with the decorations and organising behind the scenes. The hall looked beautiful, and your efforts helped make the morning so special.

Another HUGE B.R.A.V.O to our Scouts, Venturers, and their Kaiārahi for sorting and tidying the hall and for being the master chefs behind this morning’s delicious breakfast. You all worked so hard and represented our Scout Group so proudly.

A massive thank you as well to all of our generous sponsors for your support and donations, and of course to every single guest who came along and helped make today such a success.

We are so grateful for the support of our wonderful community and proud to have come together for such an important cause 💕

Tonight at Cubs we continued our work on our Better World badge. We are looking at Oceans this term. Last week we learned about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and this week we got creative. We built machines out of Lego that could help clean it up. The creativity, ideas and explanations were outstanding...B.R.A.V.O Cubs 😀

It was a great start to the term for the Kea last week with lots of awesome holiday stories being shared! We also welcomed a couple of new faces and had a fun night playing games together
We also officially invested Piwakawaka as a Kea Kaiarahi!

Tonight at Keas we explored our Better World – Peace Education badge.
We learned about the causes and types of conflict that can prevent or disrupt peace through our “Peace Builders vs Trouble Makers” activity. The Keas worked together in groups to build LEGO Peace Towers, showing amazing teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.
It was fantastic hearing the thoughtful conflict resolutions the tamariki came up with and seeing how well they worked together to build peace within their teams

We also had two very special investitures tonight:
Welcome to Harakeke, who was officially invested as a Kea Kaiarahi
Congratulations to Alby, who was officially invested as a Kea

What a wonderful evening full of learning, teamwork, and scouting spirit!
