🇳🇿 LAST FEW PLACES — OCTOBER NZ BARIATRIC GROUP 🇲🇽

If you’ve been thinking about bariatric surgery and wondering whether now is the time… my October group is almost here, and I still have a few spaces available.

✈️ Depart Auckland: 20 October
🏥 Surgery day: 21 October
🏡 Back home in NZ: 27 October

You won’t be doing this journey alone. I travel with the group from New Zealand, accompany you to Mexico, visit you in hospital, support you throughout the week and act as your advocate while you’re there. Having had bariatric surgery myself, I understand just how important that support can be.

Your organised group trip includes:
• Return flights from Auckland to San Diego
• Transport from San Diego to Mexico and back
• Pre-operative testing and hospital care
• Your bariatric surgery and associated surgical care
• Accommodation as part of the organised trip
• My support as your NZ Patient Coordinator and guide throughout the journey
• Ongoing access to the surgical team/liaison for advice after surgery

💰 Starting surgical package prices:
Gastric Sleeve — US$7,695
Gastric Bypass — US$8,995
Starting prices apply for BMI under 49; your individual medical circumstances and procedure requirements may affect pricing.

Ready to find out if you’re eligible?

Go to the Mexico Bariatric Center website and complete the free health questionnaire. Your medical history will be reviewed by the surgical team and, in many cases, clearance is received within around 24 hours, depending on your individual health circumstances.

And if you’re sitting there with a hundred questions before you even get that far — message me. That’s what I’m here for.

There’s still time to be on that plane with me in October. ✈️🇳🇿🇲🇽

If you’re ready to change your life, I’m ready to take you. ❤️

Abdominoplasty vs Panniculectomy — what’s the difference?
They sound similar, but they’re not the same procedure.
A panniculectomy focuses on removing the excess apron of skin and tissue that hangs from the lower abdomen. This can be particularly relevant after significant weight loss, when loose skin may cause discomfort, rubbing, hygiene problems or simply get in the way of everyday life.
An abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) goes further. As well as removing excess skin and improving the contour of the abdomen, it may include tightening or repairing the abdominal wall where appropriate and repositioning the belly button to create a more defined abdominal shape.
So, in simple terms:
Panniculectomy = primarily removes the hanging excess skin/tissue.
Abdominoplasty = removes excess skin AND reshapes/contours the abdomen.
Which procedure is appropriate depends on your anatomy, your goals and, importantly, an assessment by the cosmetic surgeon.
These images are taken from our recent webinar with Ron, CEO of Mexico Bariatric Center, and Flora, Director of Mexico Cosmetic Center, where we talked about the options available to patients following significant weight loss.
And if you've been thinking about taking that next step, I have spaces available in my October group from New Zealand. 🇳🇿✈️🇲🇽
If you're ready to go, I'm ready to take you. ❤️
Come with me and I'll be there to support you through the journey.

Sometimes the biggest wins are the little things you never expected to notice. ❤️

This is my lunch today, a simple cheese and onion sandwich.

But there are actually two bariatric wins in this photo.

Firstly, I’ve cut my sandwich into four. Not because I’m necessarily going to eat all four pieces, but because it reminds me to slow down. Small bites, chew properly, take my time and pause between each quarter. Before surgery, I could have devoured a sandwich like this in five minutes without even thinking about it.

Now, eating is different. I have to listen to my body rather than race ahead of it.

And then I noticed something else…

The plate is sitting comfortably on my lap.

Such a ridiculously ordinary thing, isn’t it? But before losing my weight, my belly was in the way and balancing a l plate comfortably on my knees wasn’t that easy.

These are the things the scales don’t tell you.

The everyday moments when you suddenly realise just how much your body, and your relationship with food, has changed.

It’s been nearly three years since my gastric bypass, and I’m still noticing little wins like this.

And I’m bloody proud of this one. ❤️
Thank you Mexico Bariatric Center
