'Tis the season for new Re-riggig!

Finished the last sea trial on a 300hp twin rig with joystick, and the boys are flat out getting another couple of rigs done with a Ramco getting a new 115 Pro XS full new Electronics package and rewire! And a new 150 Pro XS going on in the background and a bit of basic electrical work, A 60hp tiller confirmed thismorning and this 6hp has just been PD'D ready to go to its new home tomorrow!

Well an awesome end to a full on week from the team with two repowers installed , 1slick 6.2 v8 petrol v8 conversion up and running just awaiting a gearset to change the drive ratio, and a stunning DTS 4.2 tucked into the hull just awaiting loom and fluid connections next week.

Wahoo, fresh off the press, 2x New release Simrad Yachting NSS 4 12 inch units to go into a clients vessel we have already done a huge electronics refit in, he pre-ordered these as soon as the pr announcement came out and has been super patient!

And two more starters out the door, makes for 80! Yanmar starter overhauls in five years, with zero returns because we use only genuine Hitachi parts, Previously, we were skeptical about rebuilding starters due to the availability of cheaper aftermarket alternatives. However, our experience has shown that these alternatives are infact quite inferior, with issues such as poorly secured brushes, poorly potted armatures, improper spotwelding and faster solenoid contact failure. Our overhaul process involves replacing all parts with genuine components, even in after market starters as one of these was, at a cost comparable to aftermarket units.
Our process includes ;
✅️installing new brushes and brush holders,
✅️ continuity across windings,
✅️Machining commutator or replacing the armature,
✅️Replacing the clutch assembly,
✅️Servicing the reduction or planetary set,
✅️Conducting bench tests to verify operation and check current and voltage patterns using a Pico scope to verify all fields are operational. (A copy of which is included to the client)
