So RUCs for all vehicles? Seriously? They cant even get all light diesel vehicle owners to pay it now and who's going to police it? The only ones who get policed stringently at the moment are truckies and people who's livelihood depend wheels turning and if we don't pay they take your TSL and you're history. At least when joe public is putting fuel in their vehicle they are paying tax........and we have to pay up front......

Slip in the Mangamuka Gorge, south side just above where they cut the big corner off, is covering both lanes so road will be closed for a few hours. Go SH10 if needing to get further north.

Well this certainly deserves a mention, one of our oldest customers sending out their last load of steers to Affco. We've been carting for Danny Vuksich and family for as far back as I can remember and he turned 92 yesterday and sent out his last load today. Kurt Grace on #39 was on deck for this end of an era job, along with Affco agent Brad Nattrass. Many thanks to Danny and family for your support over the years.

The s**t attitude of the week award goes to the Reserve Bank who pretty much announced this week that things wont get better until more people lose their jobs and we stop spending. Bloody great when the people running the show deem it better to have more people unemployed then working and paying taxes! Pretty sure most business owners will agree when people are working, they buy s**t, which businesses need so they can pay their GST and PAYE etc, which the government coincidently also needs to pay for s**t.......go figure

I see in the press that we need more concrete roads in NZ. I can tell you the proof is in the pudding, we did our main road into the yard about 7 years ago and it's still like the day it was done. The previous bitumen surface would develop soft spots every 5 years and blow out, a lot like our roads in northland are doing at present. Bit of a no brainer we think, and I know a fella with a couple of readymix plants as well .......🤣
