John winning the Spreadmark trophy at the recent Groundspread NZ awards night.

The Spreadmark Trophy was introduced in 2025 and generously donated by Groundspread NZ Life Member, Jim Laird. It is awarded to those who have made a significant contribution to the Spreadmark scheme and who consistently uphold the professionalism, quality and high standards that Spreadmark represents.

This year, we are proud to recognise John Schultz as the recipient of the 2026 Spreadmark Trophy.

John has been a passionate advocate for the Spreadmark scheme for many years, championing best practice in nutrient placement and helping ensure Spreadmark continues to evolve as a trusted benchmark for our industry. His practical thinking, positive attitude and willingness to step forward when needed have made a lasting contribution to both the scheme and the people behind it.

Congratulations, John, on this well-deserved honour!

Just found these as you head up the hill on Fortification road- Kia ora/Cormacks end. Two steers. One maybe 3yo other 18mo ish
Blue nait tag in larger animal.
Any ideas??
Chucked them in Johns road paddock (home side)
