Oamaru Steam and Rail needs your help to fund and restore heritage railway carriages and locomotives.

More about us

•Oamaru Steam and Rail (OS&R) operates on the efforts of volunteers who dedicate many long hours of work to the restoration of vintage locomotives and carriages and the upkeep of buildings and rail tracks.

•The cornerstones of our operation have never varied from our formation - the preservation of heritage locomotives and rolling stock, honouring the past and conserving a history for the future.

•We need your help to help fund our vision and make it a reality. Our railway showcases the rail history of North Otago, the past, the present, and the future.
