Have your say on the future of the Hauraki Rail Trail!

The Hauraki Rail Trail is one of the region's most significant recreation and tourism assets. Hauraki District Council, Matamata-Piako District Counciland Thames-Coromandel District Council are working together on a review of the Hauraki Rail Trail and the Trailโ€™s future direction. TRC Tourism has been engaged to undertake this review and survey.

We are seeking feedback from residents, businesses and community members to better understand how the Trail is used, the benefits it provides, opportunities for improvement, and priorities for the future.

We invite you to take part in this short online survey that takes approximately 8 minutes to complete. The survey will be open until Sunday 26th July.

Reponses will be confidential and only used for the purposes of this Trail review.

Your voice matters, Hauraki.

Central government has asked councils to share their preferred option for local government change by 9 August 2026. Before Council decides whether to put a proposal forward, we want to hear what matters most to you

Tell us what matters most to you in the Head Start survey before it closes on 3 July.

Itโ€™s quick, easy and online. Link here - https://letstalk.hauraki-dc.govt.nz/head-start

Our team has been working on a water main break on Thames Road, Paeroa, since 5 am.

Residents in the area may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of water supply while repairs are underway.

We're aiming to have the repair completed within the next two hours and are doing our best to get water services back to normal as quickly as possible.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as our team work to restore water services.
