Streetlight maintenance is taking place on Airport Drive today, with crews replacing light bulbs along the road.

As a result, there will be lane closures approaching the airport. One lane will always stay open, but you may experience slower speeds and minor delays while work is carried out.

If you're travelling to the airport today, please allow a little extra time to get here and follow all traffic management signs and directions from onsite crews.

We reached an exciting milestone in the terminal build at the end of July with the arrival of the metal roofing sheets!

Each sheet is an impressive 43-metre length with no joins which reduces the risk of leaks and helps ensure a resilient, watertight terminal, ready to withstand Palmy’s weather.

Transported on a 47-metre concertina truck - complete with steerable truck cabs at each end - it carefully navigated a two-day journey from Auckland before arriving on site.

Our Terminal Development is gathering momentum! The back of house area of the new terminal now fully enclosed and the timber structure is taking shape.

The large laminated timber beams will become the check-in and departures area of the new terminal!

Big shout out to everyone involved in the project and a special mention to Avodah Photo + Cinema for capturing the progress for us!
