Ardmore Airport COVID-19 update:


Ardmore Airport continues to operate as an essential service currently under Alert Level 4 and next week from Tuesday 28th April under Alert Level 3.

On Saturday 18 April 2020 the Director General of Health agreed to allow aircraft that are at risk to be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’ instructions, which includes minimum flight time hours, to ensure airworthiness during all Alert Levels.

COVID-19 Level 4 Alert

Throughout Alert Level 4 Ardmore Airport is essential for the safe landing and departure of all essential aircraft and emergency services.

Ardmore Airport is considered an essential service and provides vital infrastructure for a range of other essential services.

Ardmore Airport supports these Essential Services during Alert Level 4:

Auckland Rescue Helicopter

Air Ambulance Service

Patient and Organ Donation Transfer

Police and Coast Guard Aircraft

Aviation Fuel Supplies

Aviation Engineering and Maintenance

Aircraft engaged in primary industry support, fisheries, agriculture etc.

Helicopter Fire Fighting support

Delivery of urgent medical supplies and other essential items

Civil Defence

Domestic Water & Sewer Infrastructure to Ardmore Airport tenants and to homes surrounding the airport.

Note - Accordingly our Café and Public Access are closed at this time

A big thank you to those that have made donations to our Food & Clothing collection, please keep it coming, we are collecting items until 20 December, please bring to Ardmore Airport reception at 511 Harvard Lane Ardmore Airport on weekdays. If you are spring cleaning your wardrobes for summer this weekend, any clean items of clothing/shoes in good condition of any size or season will be much appreciated. If you can an extra non-perishable food item to your trolley this weekend every contribution will help.

To help support our local community this Christmas we are running a Food & Clothing collection from 26 Nov until 20 Dec. If you are spring cleaning your wardrobe please bring any clean unwanted clothing and shoes (all sizes required) to the Ardmore Airport Reception office at 511 Harvard Lane Ardmore Airport.Non-perishable and non-expired food items such as packaged foods, canned meat, canned fruit, canned vegetables, long life milk in cartons, breakfast cereals, juice, Christmas cake, womens sanitary items, or cash donations will be gladly accepted. Ardmore Airport will be distributing these items to charitable organisations before Christmas. Your support is much appreciated.

If you have lost any glasses lately, we have 2 pairs of prescription spectacles at our reception that were found on the airport and handed in over the Christmas & New Year.

Tearfund Poverty Cycle event will be at Ardmore Airport this Saturday 26 August. Entry to the event will be at Airfield Road and entry to the Airport businesses will be via Hamlin Road.
Surrounding roads will be affected with traffic management in place.

‘Battle of Britain’ Flypast
Sunday 18 September 2016

New Zealand Warbirds will be conducting (weather permitting) their annual commemorative flypast over the Auckland Cenotaph this Sunday. ETD from Ardmore is from 1030 with return to be completed by 1130. It is expected that up to 25 aircraft will be involved.

A film production company has approached Ardmore Airport and is looking to hire a large hangar approx 150 - 200m2 for 3 - 4 months starting around August this year. The hangar is required for the construction of a tiny house so the space will need to be large with a high ceiling and a very large door. The final structure will be approx 4 x 7 m in floor area and 4.6 m high. If you think you can help with this please contact Melanie on 09 298 9544 for contact details.

Progress is going well with Fibre Optic cable installed along Corsair Lane.

Today work has started at Ardmore Airport extending Fibre Optic cable along Corsair Lane and Airfield Road.
