Today was the day, four years and two months after I got the wee Clyde. She’s gone from the land back to the sea. It’s been a really really nice journey and I’m very pleased that she’s in the water and she’s performing well, see trials in the next few days but what a day, I couldn’t sleep last night worrying about everything that was going to happen but everything‘s gone well. Thank you for my supporters that helped me throughout this journey. She’s enjoying bobbing around at Waikawa marina 2E7

She’s really looking the part now. Last of the photos before she goes in the water. Berth all ready for her. She will have sea trials soon. Then we will be celebrating at the waikawa boating club Saturday 24 October. Event details will be posted soon

Hello everyone, this is another update of the Clyde. We have had the carpet cut for the floor and hemmed around the edges. The hull has three coats of gloss paint. The handrails are on,the mast is done. All the wiring is completely finished. the engine has been running and the engine box has been made, bait boards on, so we are getting fairly close to the water. We’ve just got to sand underneath , primer. Still a we bit of glassing to be done under the keel and false keel to be put on etc. rudder should be back next week. We are still on target for the launching party, labour weekend!!

This is the update as of today. I’m getting down to the final stages. Please watch the video it pretty much says what’s going on with this lot of photos. We are on the home run.

Another quick update: all the painting is finished inside the cabin. The flip up day bed is set up. Switch boards installed. I put the solar panels on yesterday. The heater is half installed. Started to run the wires to the switch board.
