Airbus presented the inaugural "Airbus Helicopters - Innovation in Rotary-wing Safety Award" at RotorTech 2022 to Eye In The Sky.

This Aviation Certified Cockpit Video, Audio & Flight Data Recorder is designed and manufactured in New Zealand and is the most affordable Cockpit Video Recorder available.

In addition to providing critical answers should an air incident happen, the high definition video, audio, and flight data with user-friendly playback software is also used to review close occurrences, solve maintenance anomalies, review training flights and route checks, as well as raising the safety bar.

Christian Venzal, Managing Director Airbus Helicopters in Australia and New Zealand said: "We are proud to present this inaugural award to Eye in the Sky for their significant and positive impact on aviation safety.

James Forward - Pilot and sales, discussing the Eye In The Sky with Kathy Fox - Chairwoman of the Transport Safety Board of Canada (TSB).

The TSB Issued recommendation A13-01, calling for Transport Canada to work with industry to implement flight data monitoring and light weight flight recording systems in commercial aircraft.

To date, Transport Canada has not yet taken specific action to address the safety deficiency identified in recommendation A13-01.

Eye In The Sky will meet the recommendations of A13-01.
