We reckon there’s more to towing than just loading a car on a truck or trailer and heading off.

We reckon the important bit is making the whole process as stress-free and easy as possible for everyone involved.

The workshops and repairers we work with just give us their customer’s contact details and carry on with their day.

• We call the customer.
• We organise the time, key collection, payment and all the details.
• We collect their car and take it in to get repaired.

Throughout the process we keep everyone informed, that way there's no chasing, no phone tag, no “I thought you were organising it?” and no customers ringing up wanting to know when the tow truck is coming.

When one of their customers got back to her car in the Artisan car park and the key decided it was absolutely not turning in the ignition, there wasn’t much point arguing with it. She needed a tow truck.

A quick Google search brought her to Ashley’s. She saw we were local, checked our reviews and gave us a call.

Being locals, we know the Artisan car park gets pretty busy, so with the steering locked and the truck needing to get directly behind the car, we arranged to collect it first thing the next morning.

Daryl arrived bright and early to find one small problem — someone had parked exactly where he needed the truck.
Bu**er.

Fortunately, this is Rangiora. The car turned out to belong to a friend of a friend, who happily shifted it. Small towns do have their advantages.
A few minutes later the car was safely loaded and heading off for repairs, just as the car park was filling up.

Sometimes having the right truck and the right gear matters. And sometimes knowing your own backyard matters just as much.

When our good friends at Waimak Classic Cars had something that needed to be taken in for a tune up, we were happy to help. It was an auto, only 2 pedals, but we couldn't figure out how to get it in drive so had to winch it on.
