Service Alert – Barrett Road Roadworks ⚠️

Due to a partial road closure for roadworks on Barrett Road, some Te Pahi services will be affected on:

📅 Monday 25 May
🕘 9am – 7pm

Route 2 – Whalers Gate will detour via Omata Road and Belair Avenue during this time. 🚌

The following bus stops will be out of service:

• South Road (near 178)
• South Road (opp Spotswood College)

The South Road (opp Spotswood College) stop closure will also affect the following school bus routes for the afternoon only:

Routes 12, 51, 52, 53, 55 and 56 🚌

Please use the temporary stop located at:

• Belair Avenue (near 4)

⚠️ Service Delay Notice ⚠️

Delays are possible for Routes 101, 104, 105, 107 and 108 due to a car accident on SH3 at Norfolk.

Buses will be following detours where possible, however this may mean services arrive later than scheduled.

Please allow extra travel time and check our alerts page before you travel at tepahi.govt.nz.

SH3 NORFOLK TO INGLEWOOD, TARANAKI - SERIOUS CRASH - FINAL UPDATE 7:45PM, THU 7 MAY

State Highway 3 has fully RE-OPENED south of Inglewood township following a crash. Take extra care through the area this evening as congestion eases.

UPDATE 7:30PM, THU 7 MAY

State Highway 3 remains CLOSED south of Inglewood township, between Durham Road Lower and Norfolk Road Lower intersections.

Vehicle and trailer recovery efforts remain ongoing. A crane is on-site to assist with this. Continue to follow the provided detour outlined below and allow additional time for travel through the area south of Inglewood this evening.

UPDATE 6:15PM, THU 7 MAY

State Highway 3 remains CLOSED south of Inglewood township, between Durham Road Lower and Norfolk Road Lower intersections.

A crane is currently on-site undertaking vehicle recovery. Continue to follow the provided detour outlined below and allow additional time for travel through the area south of Inglewood this evening.

UPDATE 5PM, THU 7 MAY

State Highway 3 remains CLOSED south of Inglewood township, between Durham Road Lower and Norfolk Road Lower intersections.

A detour has now been established. For southbound traffic, use SH3 then turn left on to Durham Road Lower then right on to Tatara Road, turn right on to Suffolk Road South, then turn right on to Norfolk Road Lower, then left back on to SH3. Reverse for northbound traffic.

Allow additional time for travel through the area this evening.

UPDATE 3:20PM, THU 7 MAY

State Highway 3 is now CLOSED south of Inglewood township this afternoon, following a serious crash.

Closure points are in place at Durham Road Lower and Norfolk Road Lower intersections. Avoid the area or be prepared to detour. Follow directions given by roading crews on-site and allow additional time for travel through the area this afternoon.

3PM, THU 7 MAY

A serious crash has been reported on State Highway 3 south of Inglewood township, north of the SH3/Durham Rd Lower intersection. All emergency services and contractors are attending.

Delays are present, and a road closure is likely. Avoid the area if possible or be prepared to follow diversions. Further information will be provided as we receive it.

Did you know we're running a new Route 18 Waitara morning loop during the school terms? It's perfect for Waitara High School students, but anyone can use it!

It doesn't run in the afternoons however Route 20 leaves from near the kura at 3.10pm and does a similar return route. Check out maps, timetables, live tracking and more info at www.tepahi.govt.nz.
