The perfect Little Studio designed to enhance your experience in Kaiteriteri
Built in September 2018, our two bedroom home was designed with you in mind. Two years prior we began thinking about you! And what you would want when you stayed in our purpose built Bed and Breakfast studio. After several rough drafts, what we finalised on was a studio space that had its own luxurious bathroom with a twin head shower to luxuriate in after a days activities in the Abel Tasman National Park and its surrounds. We knew you would want the convenience of preparing your own meals, as an option, so designed a small kitchenette area with a fridge, microwave and cupboards and drawers. We wanted you to be able to heat up food quickly or prepare a full meal, or make a cuppa or toast or keep your wine or water cold in the fridge.
Thinking two years ago about what you would want when you stayed at Little Kaiteriteri, we considered the kiwi experience that is iconic and proceeded to design an outdoor patio area that encompasses a dining area and seating to take in the expansive sea views, and made sure we provided the best possible barbecue to cook on a grill but also boil on a gas hob. The kitchenette does not have kitchen sink or a cooking hob, and we wanted to make sure that you could cook what you wanted. Being outside cooking, with the beautiful seascapes that the Tasman Sea offers is truly magical.
Knowing that you will be visiting the beach a lot while you stay at the Black Fantail Studio, we thought it would be helpful to provide beach towels, insect repellent and a small chilly bag to transport your special treats to the beach in. We knew that you’d come back from your spectacular day of activities with a bundle of wet gear, which we’ve solved the problem of drying those items by making sure you have a clothing rack.
There’s a few other little considerations we’ve included in the design of the Black Fantail Studio but I don’t want to spoil the anticipation and the small surprises our many guests so have mentioned.
