Giant clams were once almost extinct in these waters because of overfishing.

Today, local conservation projects, like the ones at Barefoot Manta & Kuata, protect baby clams in cages from predators until they’re big and strong enough to survive on the reef! 🐚🇫🇯

They were so good, we ended up buying so many 😂 And the best part? They were so affordable! 💵

We had to get from Nadi to Natadola without a car, so we took the local bus 🚌😎

It’s a long ride, but you can even go all the way to Suva (around 3 hours) for basically the same price. Definitely a much cheaper option than paying $300–$380 for a taxi 😭

Public buses in Fiji are honestly a lifesaver when you’re travelling on a budget 🇫🇯

We got on this bus thinking it was just going to be a normal ride… we definitely weren’t expecting the music to be THAT loud 😂

We could literally feel the seats vibrating from the bass hahaha 🇫🇯🔊
