You will be required to work and travel between both our Te Akau and Huntly depots so reliable transport is essential.
-Paid travel
-Varied hours usually 15-30 hours a week
-Flexibility on days but generally Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday
-Must be willing to learn to drive trucks around the yard

Congratulations to one of our local young farmers and his family. Hugh Jackson won the FMG young farmer of the year for 2025, what a huge achievement. Amazing effort and well deserved!!!

And the winner of the 2025 FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final is… Hugh Jackson from the Waikato Bay of Plenty Region!

Congratulations Hugh what an amazing effort to clinch the title for 2025.

In 2nd place was Gareth McKerchar, followed by George Letham in 3rd.

Huge congratulations everyone!

Today is a very special day for Te Akau Transport and Carl Olsen

Carl has been driving livestock for most his life and today marks 20 years with our company!

On behalf of the team we would like to say a massive thank you for all his does for our company.

The pride and attention he shows to his trucks is second to none. He always keeps them looking as good as they were the day they were new. Here is a couple of photos of Carl's trucks from through the years.
