Amongst the long shadows on the right is Russell Smith ex Float Air Picton who imported ZK-DRH into NZ 1n 1974. She eventually was purchased and operated by Allan (left) and Jill Remnant of Wings and Water in 2003, having floats refitted after many thousand hours on wheels. DRH aka 'Daffy' then was sold onto Ivan and Kylie Krippner (middle) as part of the company chattels, 2015. A clean simple C206, She is a Matriarch of the Fiordland skies and waterways Wings and Water

The Fiordland Floatplane Pilots Reunion is a wrap. There was an excellent turnout from many of our former web-footed folk and community. Thanks to those who traveled, from as far afield as Queensland, and to our flyers. . A massive shout out to Justin and his team at the Millennium Kingsgate Hotel who put on an incredible spread for 100 pax. The Distinction Lakefront for a beautiful morning tea, Martin our photographer, Cruise Te Anau our safety and runabout vessell, and special thanks to DOC. John and Mihoko pulled out all stops to allow our fly in photoshoot to take place around the volatile weather.
