The company has grown from a one truck operation, operating solely for one client to a twenty seven truck operation providing the finest service to the meat and associated industry. Originally starting in Te Aroha, Waikato, Pyramid Trucking Ltd also has bases in Wiri, Auckland, Tauranga, Napier and Whanganui.

We're currently looking for professional, enthusiastic, and experienced Linehaul Drivers to join our team based in Napier.

To be considered you will need to hold a current class 5 drivers licence and have experience with container, flat deck and curtain sider vehicles.
Our successful candidates will also demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Experience with HPMV permits and loads of up to 61 tonnes with at least 2 years experience.
Professional and safe driving record.
Able to drive different configurations of vehicles.
Vehicle combination can be of length of up to 23 meters.
Capable to work alone and night shift work.
Work with chains so must be physically fit.
Work with perishable goods.
Ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard.
Able to use forklift, to load pallets, tanks and steel bins.
Must be able to complete and report pre trip inspections daily.
Use electronic logbook and POD systems.
Follow Health and Safety procedures
Able to pass pre employment and random MOJ, drug and reference checks
DG and Forklift licences are preferred however we can help you gain these for the right candidate.
This is a full time position working approximately 55-65 hours per week which requires flexibility to meet client demands (includes weekend work when required). Shift work is required.

About the role
This varied Senior Dispatcher position will have you managing drivers and movement of product through effective management, covering driver shifts as the need arises, as well as identifying new business opportunities through your already existing network. This diverse role will ensure no two days are the same.

About the person
With 3-5yrs as an experienced dispatcher and driver here in NZ, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a solid working knowledge of NZ transport regulations and experience driving and managing a varied trucking fleet including flat decks and container trucks. Additional attributes / experience required:

Current and Clean CL5 drivers Licence
DG Licence
Forkhoist / F-endorsed
Chains or Twitches or Strapping experience
Adhere to strong Health & Safety protocols
Knowledge of vehicle loading requirements and restrictions
Competent working with perishable products
Intermediate Computing Skills
Must pass a drug test and have a clean criminal history
