Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders is pleased to confirm construction is underway on the first Catalyst 50 V2.

Well suited for life as a luxury superyacht tender B77’s construction progress has seen the first bulkheads vacuum infused and released.

Developed from the proven Morrelli & Melvin hull originally designed for America’s Cup chase boat operations, the Catalyst platform continues to evolve through ongoing testing and refinement.

The new V2 design introduces a plumb stem configuration with deeper forward hull sections, increased waterline length, improved accommodation volume, and updated styling — while retaining the performance, ride quality, and flexibility the Catalyst range is known for.

Yesterday marked the launch of the latest addition to the Catalyst chase fleet — the 50’ ‘Django Shade’. As expected, early sea trials proved impressive, with the foil assisted vessel reaching a top speed of 52 knots. More to come soon.
This custom Catalyst 50 Chase is built to service and support Giovanni Lombardi Stronati's 'Django' race team, which recently won the Maxi Grand Prix World Championship. The design has been customised to include reverse-rake forward windscreens, giving it a distinct commercial look while retaining the crew comforts the Catalyst is well known for. The addition of our custom foil package further enhances her the seakeeping characteristics and extends her passage making range.

The full custom superyacht tender for S/Y Sea Eagle slipped carefully off her mould recently, marking an important benchmark in her construction. The Bakewell-White Yacht design 8.5m limousine tender is LSB’s 76th project. Utilising carbon fibre construction and finished to the highest level, she will be a very special tender when complete.

A great weekend for Lloyd Stevenson–built yachts at Bay of Islands Sailing Week. Despite the poor weather early on, congratulations go to the crews of Equilibrium and Wired.

Equilibrium took out the overall win in both the Performance Handicap Racing Fleet (PHRF) and Executive Handicap Committee (EHC) divisions. Well done to Graham and crew.

Meanwhile, Wired claimed overall line honours. Congratulations to Rob, Brett, and the hardworking crew.

A few well earned rums were enjoyed.

The high performance Catalyst 45 Adventurer ‘Render’ is back for a kiwi summer after what looked like an incredible time in Fiji. ‘Render’ is a foil assisted Catalyst, enabling her to balance performance and efficiency. Giving her effortless range and helping clients reach untouched destinations, outer reefs and hidden gems around Fiji and New Zealand.
