Meet Sagar – the face behind Annexe Café, tucked inside Whitcoulls on Lambton Quay.

With nine years in the food industry, Sagar’s journey started in baking before his passion for hospitality led him into the kitchen to cook. Today, he’s creating a café that’s all about fresh food, great coffee, and genuine service.

90% of the café’s cabinet food is made on site. The team starts as early as 4:30am each day to prepare everything fresh, with nothing carried over to the next day. Their commitment to quality doesn’t stop there. Any food left at the end of the day is donated to the local church, helping reduce waste and give back to the community.

Sagar’s personal favorite is the smashed avocado on toast, which also happens to be their biggest seller. However, if you ask his sales reps they might disagree as they think he might have one of the best BLT sandwiches in Wellington.

If you’re based in Berhampore, keep an eye on their Instagram page…There might be something coming your way soon!
