🚌 Another wonderful Waka Wāhine day out! 🌸

This time, our passengers travelled to Rotorua for a day of shopping, a lovely lunch and, most importantly, plenty of conversation, laughter and companionship along the way.

These trips provide much more than transport. They give women an opportunity to connect with others, enjoy new experiences and spend a day out without having to worry about driving.

A very special thank you to the Eastern Bay Community Foundation Women’s Impact Fund for making this trip possible through its generous funding. Your support is helping us bring women together and create some very special memories. 💚

🚐 Help Shape the Future of Community Transport in the Eastern Bay 🚐

Waka Eastern Bay Community Transport is looking at ways we can improve and expand our services—and we would love to hear from you.

We have created a short survey to learn:

📍 Where people need transport from
🛒 Where they would like to travel
📅 How often they may use the service
💰 What they consider a fair and affordable price

Whether you would use the service yourself or know someone who could benefit, your feedback will help us understand the transport needs of our community and plan future services. Please forward the survey to anyone who you think might benefit from our service.

A wonderful day out at Bayfair! 🛍️💚
Waka Eastern Bay recently had the pleasure of taking 11 women from KDAP in Kawerau to Bayfair for a day of shopping, connection and enjoyment.

This trip was made possible through the generous support of the Eastern Bay Women’s Impact Fund, administered by Bay Community Foundation.

Their funding helps us provide opportunities for local women to get out, connect with others and enjoy experiences that may otherwise be difficult to access.

A big thank you to the Eastern Bay Women’s Impact Fund for helping us keep our wāhine connected and on the move. 💚
