Direct non-stop flights between Bangkok and Auckland are targeted for a March 2027 relaunch—a full year earlier than originally planned.
With advance flight slots being secured at Auckland Airport and plans underway for a Star Alliance code-share partnership with Air New Zealand, travelling between the two nations is about to get much easier.

Avoid non-essential travel to Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar due to the unpredictable security situation in the region (level 3 of 4).

🇻🇳 Travel Update: Heading to Vietnam from 1 July 2026? Here’s what’s changing 👇

Vietnam will introduce mandatory health declarations for all travellers arriving, departing, or transiting via airports, land borders, and seaports.

✈️ What travellers need to know:
✅ Submit your health declaration within 7 days of travel
✅ Declaration can be completed online or via paper form (English available)
✅ Keep vaccination records handy — proof may be requested at immigration

This is part of Vietnam’s move towards smarter border processes and stronger health monitoring as travel grows.

We’re awaiting further updates from the Vietnamese Ministry of Health regarding vaccination proof requirements and declaration forms — stay tuned for our next update! 🌏

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR KIWI TRAVELLERS:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) has just lifted its SafeTravel level 4 "Do not travel" warning for Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to a level 2 "Exercise increased caution".

If you have travel insurance, it's worth reviewing your policy. You may now have greater coverage for Qatar and the UAE following the updated advisory.

Customers travelling to the recently lifted destinations may now be eligible to again purchase travel insurance, subject to policy terms and conditions and eligibility criteria.
