On Friday, the earth moved beneath Panama.
In the city, life has returned to its rhythm. Our guests are safe, and we were by their side from the very first moment.
But in the interior of the country, the story is different.
In the small towns and countryside of Herrera, Los Santos, Veraguas and Coclé, families are facing cracked walls, damaged homes, and schools and churches in need of repair. These are communities far from the spotlight, where help often takes longer to arrive.
These are the provinces of polleras and tamboritos, of open doors and long conversations on the porch. They’ve always welcomed us with generosity, and today we hold them close.
To the rural communities of central Panama: you are not alone. 🤍
