One of the most heartbreaking moments for us was definitely this one. While roadtripping from Santa Catalina to Boquete (Panama) we came across this poor little fellow. He was literally lying in the middle of the road, so we had to stop the car. The poor thing was completely weakened, and so so terribly skinny. He looked at us with those sad eyes you’ll never forget ☹.

He was far away from any civilization but fortunately next to a creek with water. We gave him something healthy to eat and some fresh water, but even that took a lot of effort for him trying to eat, being so extremely weakened. So we sat there for quite a while, cuddling him, and giving him some love. When we left, the only thing we could do was crying our eyes out. 😭

We are aware that Latin & Central America have countless stray dogs, we had already witnessed that on our roadtrip through Mexico, but this story really broke our hearts. 💔

We always search for spots away from crowdy tourist places, and many times we succeed in our search. Here we accidentally bumped into another breathtaking place in Portugal, viewing the Montargil lake by sunset.😍

Recent research suggests that the occasional disruption to circadian rhythms, akin to the stress of jet lag, could offer a protective boost against brain-damaging illnesses (note the crucial 'occasional' here).

In a study, Northwestern University researchers found that subtly manipulating the circadian clock, much like experiencing periodic jet lag, appeared to be neuroprotective. Specifically, stressing the brain with minor disruptions seemed to slow the progression of Huntington's disease, resulting in fewer disease-linked proteins and less cell death.

Latin America and street food are inseparable, and nowhere is it more evident than in Mexico! 🌮 On the road, street food shacks pop up everywhere. Here, we stumbled upon one in the middle of nowhere, run by a mother and her adorable little helper.

Now, you might be wondering, what's the most common street food in Mexico? The undisputed champion is none other than the mighty taco. A warm, soft tortilla embraces a variety of flavors, from succulent carne asada to tender al pastor – and let's not forget the divine carnitas. Topped with onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime, it's a taste sensation! 😋

But tacos are just the tip of the street food iceberg. There's elotes (grilled corn on the cob), tamales, quesadillas, churros, and, of course, an array of fresh tropical fruits.

So, on your next Mexican adventure, ditch the fancy restaurants and hit the streets. Your journey simply isn't complete without a pitstop at a roadside gem – where the real magic happens!

On our camper roadtrip through Portugal we discovered the medieval charm of Évora Monte, a small picturesque town in the Alentejo region. 🇵🇹
Crowned by a well-preserved 12th-century castle offering breathtaking views, this peaceful historic gem boasts narrow streets lined with traditional Alentejo architecture. 🏰We spent the night just at the foot of the castle with a magnificent view over the vast plains and cork oak forests.
