The Cavia tschudii, also known as the wild guinea pig, is a rodent species native to the Peruvian Andes. It is widely recognized as the direct ancestor of the domestic guinea pig (Cavia porcellus).
In Peru, it inhabits a wide range of ecosystems, including the Andean steppe, high-altitude puna grasslands, and coastal wetlands, from sea level up to 4,500 meters (14,764 ft) above sea level.

DAY 1: Begin your adventure with a ride from Cusco to the ranch, where you'll meet your horse and start the journey toward the sacred Senqa Mountain.
