A great companion for an exhilarating tour

We did the two day Inca Trail tour with Luis Miguel. We weren’t sure quite what to expect going into the hike but Luis was very positive and encouraging throughout. He was very patient and was spot on with the timings even though we had to take frequent breaks! His photography skills and knowledge of the sites we visited were much appreciated. The view of Machu Picchu past the sun gate (we had to wait for the clouds to clear) was worth all the effort getting there. We would highly recommend the experience.

Huayhuash trek in 8 days

This is the most dramatic high altitude trek in the Peruvian Andes with magnificent views of mountains of the Cordillera Huayhuash such as Yerupaja 6634m being the second highest mountain in Peru; Siula Grande made famous by Joe Simpson in his book and film “Touching the Void”, Sarapo, Rondoy, Ninashanca, Jirishanca, Rasac, Carnicero, Trapecio and beautiful glacial lakes.

The dramatic and beautiful glacial lakes and valleys of the range provide memorable campsites and good trout fishing. Andean condors are seen more often in the Huayhuash than on other Peruvian treks, attesting to the area’s remoteness.

The Cordillera Huayhuash is often said to be the most beautiful part of the Peruvian Andes. It’s a land of high grassy valleys, clear mountain lakes, tumbled glaciers and snow-shrouded peaks - all overarched by an impossibly deep-blue sky, where condors soar. The Huayhuash is a landscape of awe-inspiring height and scale, with six peaks over 6000m - including Yerupaja (6617) the second highest mountain in Peru – and several passes over 5000m.

The Huayhuash trek on mountain range is one of the most beautiful treks in the world - and it's easy to believe.
The villages Pocpa and Llamac are usually the trailheads for this trek.
At almost every turn, you come face to face with glistening vertical walls of ice, snow and rock. Beautiful lakes, different kind or births and Keep an eye out for the massive Andean Condors and for Siula Grande 6,344 m.a.s.l. the site where popular book and motion picture "Touching the Void" took place!

Ausangate Trek in 4 days

The Ausangate trek is a high altitude 70km hike in Peruvian mountains near Cusco with an average altitude of over 4000m. Unlike most other hikes in the region Ausangate is not about Inca ruins, it's all about beautiful scenery; snow peaks, glaciers, colorful mountain lakes, and the Sacred Mountain.

The Ausangate (6398m/20991f) is considered one of the most beautiful snow-capped mountains of the Andes. The areas surrounding this mountain offer extraordinary sceneries of mountains, glaciers and lagoons. Moreover, the Andean people are very welcoming and friendly and preserve the respect for the nature. They also have an excellent knowledge of farming vicuñas, alpacas and lamas, being the first two appreciated for their fine quality of wool and alpaca for its meat. We will drive for 4 hours from Cusco and get prepared for a cold temperature and high altitude.

Luis was our tour guide and he was excellent at it. He’s had experience as a porter and now a well distinguished tour guide and have taught us many interesting details of the Inca trail, community and definitely Machu Picchu!

Colca Canyon Trek in 2 days

The condor is a species that has been the focus of worldwide conservation efforts. The condors can be seen at close range as they fly past the canyon walls, and are a popular attraction. The Andean Condor typically lives about 60-70 years, and has a wingspan of about 2.1–2.7 meters (7–9 ft). It is commonly referred to as the "Eternity Bird," as the bird is a symbol of long life and eternity. 'Cruz del Condor' is a popular tourist stop to view the condors. At this point the canyon floor is 1,200 meters (3,900 ft) below the rim of the canyon.

The Trail to the Colca Canyon in Perú is part of an extensive Inca system of trails of more than 23,000 kilometers that integrated the Tahuantinsuyo Empire “The Inka Country” (which means four regions) that covered many South American countries such as Colombia, the west of Brazil, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, to the center of Chile and the north of Argentina. These trails tended to be principally on the coast or in the mountains but in a few cases, they reached the tropical edge of the jungle at the Amazon Jungle.

The trails varied in quality and size, they could be 6 to 8 meters wide on the coast but, in the mountains the paving was only one meter wide but the path was audaciously steep and climbed over the difficult Andean mountains.

Phenomenal experience with Percy the guide.

Percy was absolutely amazing as a guide. He knew the area very well, help explained the history end was quick to help me when I got sick. Can not think of a better way to spend a few days in Peru. A must visit!!!!!!! The porters were also amazing, Alejandro and the rest of the team.
