We’ve already had the chance to visit twice and follow its transformation along the way, and there is a real sense of anticipation around this new address.

So close to Tahiti… yet another world altogether.

Just a 30-minute ferry ride from Tahiti, Moorea rises from the ocean with its jagged peaks, deep valleys and two magnificent bays.

It is an island we love for its ease.

Swim in the lagoon in the morning.
Head inland to explore ancient marae and lush valleys.
Stop for a freshly cut Moorea pineapple along the road.
Linger over lunch by the water.
And still have plenty of time to do absolutely nothing.

Perhaps that is Moorea’s greatest luxury: the freedom to slow down and simply enjoy island life.

A tiare tucked behind the ear.
A hei placed gently around someone's neck.
A crown of flowers prepared for a celebration.
A final lei offered before saying goodbye.

Flowers accompany so many moments of Polynesian life.
They welcome, celebrate, honor and sometimes say what words cannot.

And perhaps this is one of the loveliest things for visitors to understand about The Islands of Tahiti: the flower lei placed around their neck when they arrive is a gesture of genuine welcome.

Today, we are taking you to a favorite of ours...

LE TAHA’A by PEARL RESORTS 🌴

Set on the private Motu Tautau, just 35 minutes by boat from Ra’iatea, Le Taha’a is one of those rare places that feels deeply connected to its surroundings.

A member of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux collection, the resort sits between two iconic views: the majestic silhouette of Bora Bora on one side, and the lush shores and luminous lagoon of Taha’a, the Vanilla Island, on the other.

Everything here celebrates nature and Polynesian craftsmanship. Bamboo, native woods, stone, coral, shells, woven fibers and tapa come together in villas, overwater suites and shared spaces that feel refined yet wonderfully organic.

Mornings are especially magical. Walking through the warm, crystal-clear lagoon as the island slowly wakes is an invitation to reconnect, breathe and return to what is essential.

Breakfast is served among the trees overlooking the lagoon. Lunch comes with your feet in the sand by the pool. And as evening falls, the w**e bar becomes a convivial meeting place before or after dinner.
