Youth, skills, talent and development of future leaders is our passion

Today, Thursday 10th September sixteen (16) first Year Apprentices, Males and Females across a range of Trades signed Indenture contracts . Trades included - Mechanical, Fabrication, Panel and Spray Painting.. Alex Noulas, Group HR Manager spoke of the legacy and reputation of Mapai, and the role we have to would not only quality trades people but great corporate and community citizens.

Brian Bono, Workshop Manager spoke of the road ahead and challenges and opportunities and to listen, learn and look after themselves individually and as a team.. Chairman, John Byrne spoke of his own journey from a 1st Year Automotive Mechanic and the strength and importan cd of the Mapai Brand. He also authorized the documents.in his capacity as Commissoier of Oath.🇵🇬 We wish every new employee every success and with discipline, guidance and support we will see a next evolution of Mapai people working in and among our team of quality and professional personnel.

Your leadership and guidance is firmly entrenched in all we do at Mapai, the Jacob Luke Foundation at your birth and resting place of Lakolam and Monokam in acroos the broader PNG Community

Our Late- Chief was an innovator, a leader and a visionary who understood the changing economical, community and business environment... from humble beginnings to the legacy he built.

He also led a Board and Management Team who share his same vision and will continue to do so.

We have not walked away from Kenworth, the majority of our fleet is Kenworth
But Kenworth trucks are not suitable for Town Trucks. They can do it but they are big Trucks and our City roads are getting busier and we have always used small trucks for City work

This Howo fleet is for Town Trucks and is mixed with other brands, and yes we will test some on the Highway, just as our mentor and founder, late-Chief would have done, but 80% of our fleet is still Kenworth

Your passion for Mapai, and the late-Chied is reflected by your comments and we share and will always ensure decisions are made for the right business reasons and the Mapai Legacy continues

AGM Richard Yopo, together with the Senior Management Team from Mapai HQ, visited the our Taraka workshop for the blessing ceremony of our 11 new HOWO trucks.

The Pastor officiated the blessing ceremony for the new fleet.

Our AGM also took the opportunity to address the workshop staff, encouraging them and acknowledging their hard work and continued commitment on behalf of the Board and Management
