Dear Fellow Boholanos,
As we celebrate the 170th Bohol Day, I am filled with gratitude for the rich tapestry of blessings that adorn our beloved province. Our hearts swell with pride as we reflect on the gifts of faith and culture that have long defined our people. Let us continue to cherish and nurture these precious traditions that bind us together as a community and inspire us to reach greater heights.
Moreover, let us not forget the bountiful blessings of our natural surroundings – the pristine white sand beaches that glisten under the sun, the majestic Chocolate Hills that stand as a testament to the wonders of creation, and the world-class diving resorts that beckon adventurers from near and far. These gifts of nature are a testament to the beauty and splendor of our homeland, and we must strive to be stewards of these treasures for generations to come.
In recent times, Bohol has been blessed with new distinctions that speak to our province's potential and promise. Being recognized as the number 1 Investment Area in the Philippines today is a testament to the vibrant economy and dynamic spirit of entrepreneurship that thrives in our midst. Additionally, the designation as the Philippines' first UNESCO Global Geopark highlights the unique geological heritage that sets our province apart.
As we celebrate these achievements, let us remember that with great blessings come great responsibilities. Let us commit ourselves to protecting and preserving the gifts we have been given, whether they be faith and cultural traditions, natural wonders, or economic opportunities. Let us strive to be good stewards of these blessings and work together to build a future that is prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive.
May we continue to draw strength and inspiration from our faith, knowing that God walks with us on this journey. Let us remain faithful to our Christian beliefs and values, and let them guide us in all that we do. Let us pray for our local leaders, both in Church and State, that they continue to serve Boholanos with strong dedication and great love.
