As part of this yearโ€™s anniversary initiative, CAAP, together with its partners in the aviation industry, supported environmental efforts in the Upper Marikina Watershed through a donation to the Samahang Kawayan ng Karugo Agri Farmerโ€™s Association (SKKAFA).

The initiative contributes to bamboo reforestation, helping mitigate flooding, restore ecosystems, and reinforce community resilience.

CAAP extends its appreciation to its partners in the aviation industry whose support helped bring this initiative forward. Through this shared effort, what began as a simple initiative became a meaningful step toward supporting communities while advancing a common goal of a safe, resilient, and sustainable aviation sector.

Together, the Philippine aviation industry moves forward as One Aviationโ€”guided by safety, and grounded in purpose.

Today is Maundy Thursday, a reminder that we could not reach God, so He came close to us. Jesus, the Word made flesh, stepped into our world and chose to walk with us, not from far away, but in a real and personal way. And if youโ€™ve been feeling distant, unworthy, or alone, be encouraged, He is nearer than you think.

On this night, Jesus shared a meal with His disciples, broke bread with them, and washed their feet. The King chose to serve, showing that true love is humble and giving. He didnโ€™t just talk about love, He showed it. And if youโ€™ve been feeling unseen or overlooked, be reminded, Jesus sees you and meets you right where you are.

Even knowing what was ahead, Jesus chose to stay. He chose the cross, not because He had to, but because He loves us deeply. He understands our pain, struggles, and weakness because He lived among us. And if youโ€™re carrying something heavy today, be encouraged, He understands, and you donโ€™t have to carry it alone.

This is love that changes everything, a love that comes close, serves, and sacrifices.

If youโ€™ve been questioning your worth, remember this, His love for you was never far or uncertain, it was intentional.

So today, donโ€™t just remember what He did, respond to it. Letโ€™s learn to love like Him, serve like Him, and live with humility in our everyday lives.

Because He came near, we are never alone. ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿปโ˜๐Ÿป๐Ÿค

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) will reduce the aeronautical fees effective April 1, 2026, as part of efforts to mitigate the impact of rising global fuel prices.

This action follows the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez to implement measures that will help ease the burden on both passengers and the aviation industry amid escalating oil costs.

Under the modified rates, the aeronautical fees, including the landing and takeoff, will be decreased to nearly 50% overall, or as high as approximately P5,000 per landing.

Meanwhile, the Passenger Service Charge (PSC) for international travel at international airports will be reduced from โ‚ฑ900 to โ‚ฑ700. For domestic travel at international airports, PSC will be lowered from โ‚ฑ350 to a range of โ‚ฑ150 to โ‚ฑ200.

For Principal Class 1 airports, fees will be reduced from โ‚ฑ300 to โ‚ฑ150โ€“โ‚ฑ200, while Principal Class 2 airports will see a decrease from โ‚ฑ200 to โ‚ฑ100. Community airport charges will likewise be lowered from โ‚ฑ100 to โ‚ฑ50.

Passenger Service Charges are paid by travelers, while aeronautical fees are shouldered by airlines.

The Authority reaffirms its commitment to continuously implement responsive measures that will help ease the burden on the public while supporting the stability of the aviation industry.

โ€œWe recognize the challenges brought by the ongoing regional tension and its impact on passengers and the aviation industry. CAAP is implementing reductions in passenger service charges and aeronautical fees to provide immediate relief and support, ensuring that air travel remains accessible during these difficult times.โ€ said CAAP Director General Retired Lt Gen Raul del Rosario.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) advises all concerned stakeholders that its offices have begun implementing hybrid work arrangements this week, with four (4) on-site work days from Mondays to Thursdays and one (1) remote work day on Fridays.

The hybrid work arrangement does not apply to technical and operational services which shall continue to follow approved duty schedules to ensure the continuity of CAAPโ€™s services in airports, technical facilities, and other frontline offices such as the Flight Standards Inspectorate Service (FSIS), which will be operating on a skeleton workforce setup on Fridays.

Stakeholders may reach CAAP offices through official email addresses on Fridays and are advised to plan their visits by contacting the relevant office via email or telephone in advance.

This scheme supports the governmentโ€™s energy conservation efforts in line with Memorandum Circular No. 114 issued by the Office of the President, ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining the Authority's operational readiness. CAAP appreciates everyoneโ€™s understanding as we implement these measures.

To strengthen the countryโ€™s resilience against natural disasters, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) joined this yearโ€™s first Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on Thursday, 12 March 2026. Led by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), the exercise tested the readiness of aviation personnel across the country.

From the CAAP Central Office to regional Area Centers, employees and stakeholders took part in the synchronized drill. The exercise brought the Authorityโ€™s safety plans to life, ensuring that every member of the CAAP teamโ€”from office staff to air traffic controllers and ground crewsโ€”is equipped with the practical skills needed during an emergency.

At CAAP-operated airports across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, real-life simulations were conducted to model how a major earthquake would affect daily operations. These exercises provided first responders with real-world experience when every second counts.

By making these quarterly drills a priority, CAAP reaffirms its commitment to public safety and the steady flow of government services. By preparing rigorously for high-magnitude events like "The Big One," the Authority ensures that even in the face of a disaster, Philippine aviation remains resilient, reliable, and ready to serve the traveling public.
