Bomb joke leads to passenger offloading, flight delay.

A Cebu Pacific Air flight 5J4805 going to Puerto Princesa is currently delayed due to a bomb joke by one passenger while on-board the aircraft. Affected passengers on this flight were safely disembarked back to the terminal. Authorities secured the area and conducted a thorough inspection and later confirmed that no explosives or hazardous materials were present. The passenger was escorted for documentation and offloaded from the flight, with appropriate coordination with airline authorities.

We remind the public that BOMB JOKES are BANNED under Presidential Decree No. 1727 (Bomb Joke/Threat Law) and will be taken seriously by security and law enforcement authorities.

Please refrain from making any jokes or comments that refer to bombs, explosives, or any instruments of violence while at the airport or on board any flight. Your compliance and cooperation will help us avoid any security or law enforcement actions that may delay flights and cause unnecessary inconvenience to all travelers.

As always, your safety and convenience are our priority concerns.

Changi Airport to Implement New Power Bank Safety Restrictions on Flights Departing Singapore.

🔸From 15 April 2026, (Singapore time), passengers departing from Singapore may carry a maximum of two power banks per person on board flights; passengers carrying more than two power banks will be required to dispose of the excess power banks before the flight. Power banks must also not be charged on board the aircraft and passengers are advised not to use power banks to charge their devices during the flight.

🔸The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore is working with airlines and other aviation stakeholders to implement the new requirements in a smooth and orderly manner. Airlines will inform their passengers of the new requirements. In consultation with the airlines, CAAS will provide some time for the airlines to do so and for passengers to familiarise themselves and have the requirements take effect only from 15 April 2026. In the meantime, passenger service and security screening officers will be trained. Information on the new restrictions will also be displayed at key touchpoints across the airport as a reminder to passengers.

🔸Other existing requirements continue to apply, including the prohibition of power banks in check-in baggage, capacity limits and the requirement for power banks to be individually protected to prevent short circuit (such as keeping them in protective pouches). As airlines may also have more restrictive policies on power banks, passengers are advised to check with their airlines before travelling.

Changi Airport has direct flights to Iloilo International Airport via FlyScoot and Cebu Pacific Air
