My first 75% and I love how this turned out!

I initially put on JTK Nightsakura keycaps but I think that the keyset is too busy with how the keyboard looks(led logo). I think the simplicity of the GMK apollo really complements this board.

I've decided to remove the mute pad as it makes the typing experience too stiff. Removing the foam did help a bit but at the cost of sounding a bit hollow especially when recording. In real life though, the hollow sound is not bothersome imo.

I had so much fun building this! The color match is perfect! The idea behind the build is to have a fun-looking board and I think I nailed it! It really reminds me of the yellow submarines and the ocean.

So, I've decided to rebuild my gasket tofu because I got tired of the clack(ks3+cream stems).

I've also tried the tempest mod coz hype. It was the easiest mod you can do on your board! I love that it helps reduce case ping without the need for thick foam. It somehow makes the switch sound more rounded and thocky.
With the foam removed, the pcb now has more freedom in movement. Super bouncy and super fun to type on!

Once you go black...

GMK White on Black, Gateron Blank Ink, Black Pom, Durock Smokey Black Stabs

I've decided to rebuild my Freyr and I think this is the end game build for this keyboard.

Pom plates are the bomb! Very flexible and soft! However, it's a pain to install especially with gateron inks! It's so flexible that the switches bounce off and do not want to stay in place!

I told myself I won't need a TKL because I'm used to typing on a 60%. But man, the Freyr looks so damn good! It is sold as in stock too and as of writing is still in stock on CherryB discord. Fulfillment is about a month or so after invoicing.

About the board, this is a top mount TKL with the choice of WKL or WK. Typing on this is pretty consistent all across with typical top mount feel.
The sound can be a bit hollow but not the bad kind of hollow. It's a pretty good-sounding board, to be honest.

I'll play around with it a bit more as I have an incoming POM plate for this. I'm thinking of pairing it with inks or opblack.
