Please be ready for any eventuality especially if the category goes up to Super Typhoon.
Some tips you may want to consider before the storm:
1. Charge your phones and rechargeable batteries
2. Check your emergency lights and flashlights
3. Have an emergency kit/bag
4. Fill your gas tanks
5. Have sufficient cash on hand
6. Have a stock of non-perishable food ready
7. Assure supply of clean suitable water
During the storm:
1. Avoid going out unless absolutely necessary
2. Evacuate if authorities advise to do so; wag matigas ulo
3. Avoid wading in flood waters to avoid diseases such as leptospirosis
4. Assess risks before taking action. Look out for hazards such as flying debris, landslides, falling objects/trees/posts, electrocution hazards.
After the storm:
1. Assure everyone is accounted for
2. Assess property damage and hazards
3. Help when possible
