There are places that look beautiful from the groundโ€”and then thereโ€™s El Nido, which somehow becomes even more impressive when you see the whole picture from above.

From this view, the busy town meets the calm blue waters of Bacuit Bay, with dozens of boats waiting for another day of island hopping. Beyond them rise the familiar limestone cliffs and green mountains that make El Nido unmistakably El Nido.

Down below, it may feel busy: tricycles moving around, tourists looking for breakfast, tour groups heading to their boats, restaurants preparing for another full day. But from up here? Everything suddenly looks peaceful. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

And perhaps that contrast is part of El Nidoโ€™s charm.
