ATTENTION

Executive Order NO. 10-2020

With the joint discussions of the Sagada Stakeholders, Local Government Unit, Rural Health Unit and the Department of Health:

Sagada is now Lifting its suspension on all Eco-Tourism Activities except for Spelunking and Sunrise Viewing Activities.

Points to Remember:
1) All Tours Can only start at 7 Am. No sunrise viewing at any sunrise viewpoints including Ampanga Heights. This is to discourage crowd gathering activities during the early hours when the temperature is very cold. However, visitors can still trek to Marlboro Hills and other sites at or after 7 Am.

2) Visitors are required to undergo assessment as advised by the DOH when they arrive in Sagada. Assessment will be done when registering at the Tourist Information Center, when checking in at accommodations and before tours start. Assessment before the tour will be done by the respective tour guide.

3) Opening of Sites were only done after the protocols of the DOH were satisfied. Hence, explaining the still CLOSURES of Spelunking where-in bodily contacts are required during the tour. It is also advised that cold areas can propagate viruses thus discouraging the sunrise viewing activities.

4) Innkeepers/Owners/Private Esatblishments, Tour Guides and Shuttle Drivers should take the initiative to ask their presidents/representatives for their respective protocols and penalties.

We ask everyone to please do their own part in keeping our Municipality and Country safe from the virus. Please read all advisories from the DOH website for the preventive measures regarding the virus issue.

Announcement:

Executive Order No. 07 -20 now signed and released.

All Eco-Tourism Activites are now suspended due to the threat of the Novel Corona Virus.

Everyone is advised to remain vigilant against any signs or symptoms of the said virus and please refer concerned individuals to our NCOV-Fastlane at the Rural Health Unit near the Municipal Building.

All violators will have to answer to our Chief-Executive.

UPDATE:
1)Executive Order is in effect indefinitely until further notice.

2) All Tourist Spots except the PRIVATELY-OWNED activities are CLOSED.
Ex. All Tours and Packages written with-in the Map Handouts at the Tourist Information Center (Caves, Adventure Trails, Hanging Coffins, Waterfalls etc..)

3) Some examples of PRIVATE establishments which are OPEN:
a) Sunrise View Hotel and Isang Wow Sunrise Viewdeck
b) Paog's Sunset Viewdeck
c) Sagada Pottery
d) Sagada Weaving
e) Masferre's Photographs
f) clay house: Wine Refilling Station
Etc...

Update 2:
Regarding questions on why there are some that are open and some that are closed:

Please be informed that the LGU have no regulatory power to suspend any privately owned legal businesses unless they have violations.

Update 3:
We apologize if the Executive Order is not clear to some. It is not a closure of Sagada but only SUSPENSION of Tourism Activities. One step maybe small to someone but it might be a big help for the safety of everyone. We might not be able to avoid every problem so we sincerely ask everyone to please, please bear with us.

ADVISORY: Operations in ALL NAIA Terminals will be suspended from 11:00AM to 11:00PM tomorrow, 3 December 2019, in preparation for the expected onslaught of Typhoon Tisoy.

Once flight operations resume, priority will be given to scheduled flights. Recovery flights will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. For an orderly succession of flights, recovery flights must have prior approval from the MIAA authority.

Regular runway maintenance (1:30-3:30AM) shall likewise be suspended for three more days after the resumption of flights to give way to recovery flights.

In order to ensure safety, MIAA GM Ed Monreal appealed to air passengers to just stay in their homes and avoid going to the airports as terminals will be closed.

GM Monreal likewise advised affected passengers to closely coordinate with their airline carriers for information concerning their flights.

Please be guided accordingly.
