The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) wishes to announce and congratulate the following passers of the Theoretical Examinations for Marine Deck and Engine Officers conducted at the MARINA Central Office and MARINA Regional Office VI – Iloilo City on 09 March 2023, Thursday.

Out of 62 examinees, there were 31 passers with a passing rate of 50.00%

Of the 31 passers, 2 out of 3 examinees or 66.67% passed the Deck Management Level Examination. For the Engine Management Level, there were 8 out 21 examinees or 38.10% passed the exam while 21 passers out of 38 examinees or 55.26 for the Engine Operational Level.

The said examinations were administered under MARINA Competency Assessment System (MCAS) Version 2.

TINGNAN || 21 NA ANG KUMPIRMADONG CRUISE SHIPS NA DADAUNG SA PUERTO PRINCESA

Ayon kay City Tourism Department (CTD) chief Demetrio Alvior Jr., tumaas na ang bilang ng kumpirmadong cruise ships na darating sa Puerto Princesa ngayong taon.

Sa bilang na ito, 16 ang maiden voyage, o unang pagkakataon na dadaung para mamamasyal sa lungsod.

Unang darating ang maiden voyage ng cruise ship na Seabourn Encore sa February 9 sa Port of Puerto Princesa. Ayon sa impormasyon, ang cruise ship o mega yacht na ito ng Seabourn Cruises ay karaniwang may pasahero na aabot sa mahigit 630 at crew na nasa 330.
