โ‘  Empty Container picked up: Collect empty container from yard and transport it to factory for loading

โ‘ก Full Container inside terminal/depot: Deliver the loaded container back to terminal or depot

โ‘ข Full Container loaded on board vessel: The full container waits at terminal and then is loaded on ship to destination port

โ€ข Detention: Happens between Step โ‘  & โ‘ก. Shipping company charges for overholding the container if you donโ€™t return the full container in time after picking up the empty one

โ€ข Demurrage: Happens between Step โ‘ก & โ‘ข. Terminal charges for space occupation if the full container isnโ€™t loaded on ship in time after arriving at terminal
