Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has issued a bid for the renovation of the Kalaklan Gate, allocating a total project cost of PHP 5,430,000.00.

The Kalaklan Gate was last renovated in 2010, with construction completed in 2011. Over the years, it has become one of the busiest entry and exit points in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, serving a large volume of motorists traveling to and from the northern areas of Zambales.

The gate is widely known for its heavy traffic, particularly during weekends and peak rush hours, often causing delays for commuters and businesses alike.

In preparation for the upcoming project, SBMA has already created a traffic rerouting plan to help manage congestion and ensure smoother flow of vehicles during the renovation period.

The construction start date has yet to be determined.

Magandang araw!
Ang rerouting scheme ay ginawa upang mas mapabuti ang daloy ng trapiko sa paligid ng palengke at mga karatig nito.
Layunin nitong mabawasan ang pagsisikip ng kalsada, maiwasan ang aksidente, at mapadali ang paggalaw ng mga sasakyan lalo na sa rush hour at peak hours nito.
Sa nakalagay na picture ay may iba't-ibang signage po tayo na nila kasama na ang nga arrow at iba pa.
Narito po ang paliwanag;

Sa mga hindi pwedeng daanan, ang mga may simbolong bawal o “no entry” ay hindi maaaring pasukin ng sasakyan. Mayroon ding mga lugar na bawal kumanan o kumaliwa. Mahalaga pong sundin ang mga ito upang maiwasan ang disgrasya at paglabag sa batas trapiko.

Samantala, ang pass-through na mga lugar ay mga kalsadang maaaring daanan, kadalasan ay diretso lamang. Mayroon ding mga one-way roads kung saan iisa lang ang direksyon ng daloy ng sasakyan. Dapat sundin ang mga arrow na nakalagay bilang gabay sa tamang direksyon.

Sa bagong sistema, may malinaw na daloy ng trapiko kung saan may mga itinakdang daan papasok at palabas ng market. Ang ibang kalsada ay ginawang one-way upang maging mas maayos at tuloy-tuloy ang galaw ng mga sasakyan.

Ang layunin ng rerouting ay mapabilis ang biyahe ng mga motorista, mabawasan ang traffic congestion, at masigurong ligtas ang lahat ng gumagamit ng kalsada.

Sa mga motorista, mahalagang sumunod sa mga traffic signs at sundin ang tamang direksyon. Iwasan ang paglabag sa mga bawal na likuan at maging disiplinado sa pagmamaneho upang maiwasan ang aksidente.

Ang rerouting scheme ay isang hakbang upang mapanatili ang kaayusan sa kalsada. Sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod ng bawat isa, makakamit natin ang mas maayos, mabilis, at ligtas na biyahe. See picture for guidelines
