During the 3rd General Assembly and the celebration of the 1st Founding Anniversary of the Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (CICAC), President Erich H. Lingad of the Philippine Multimodal Transport and Logistics Association, Inc. (PMTLAI) acknowledged the collaborative efforts between the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and his organization following the issuance of OCOM Memorandum 21-2025. This memorandum allows the acceptance of advance cargo manifests in the E2M system even without the corresponding Master Bill of Lading or Master Airway Bill.

President Lingad expressed appreciation for the BOC’s responsiveness to the concerns of the logistics sector, particularly in relation to PMTLAI’s proposal for the submission of advance cargo manifests. In response to this proposal, Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio initiated the creation of a Technical Working Group (TWG) to explore the necessary adjustments to the declarations system to accommodate the request.

For our annual Move It management team trip, we embarked on an unforgettable journey starting with a night train to Sapa. As we traveled, we shared stories, kalokohans and excitement until we eventually drifted off to sleep.

Once in Sapa, we fully immersed ourselves in the experience—exploring breathtaking natural landscapes, indulging in delicious local cuisine, and visiting must-see destinations like Sun World, Fansipan Summit, Moana Village, and the Skywalk Glass Bridge. Every moment was filled with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable experiences.

But this trip was more than just sightseeing; it was a chance to strengthen our team bond, create lasting memories, and embrace new challenges together.

Now, we’re looking forward to our next adventure in Hanoi!
