Did you know that you can import chocolate without FDA clearance?

Chocolates can be imported into the Philippines without requiring clearance from the Food and Drug Administration, provided that they are for personal consumption and does not exceed 10 kilograms.

However, if importations claimed to be "for personal consumption" exceed the specified limit, and the FDA does not issue a clearance, the items will be seized and forfeited in favor of the government.

Did you know that you can bring your beloved pets with you to the Philippines?

Bringing "live animals" into the country is REGULATED. To ensure a hassle-free journey, obtain an international veterinary health certificate from the competent authority in your country. Additionally, secure a Sanitary and Phytosanitary Import Clearance (SPSIC) from the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) before importing. Without these documents, pets shall be subject to refusal of entry and seizure.

For inquiries about securing an SPSIC, contact BAI at (+632) 920-0816 or (+632) 925-4343, or email them at [email protected] or [email protected].
