The statue of Our Lady of Manaoag is a 17th-century ivory and silver image of the Virgin Mary with The Child Jesus enshrined at the high altar of the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary of Manaoag. It was brought to the Philippines from Spain via the Manila galleon trade from Acapulco, Mexico, in the early 17th century by the priest Juan de San Jacinto.The Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag is celebrated on two feast days: the third Wednesday after Easter and first Sunday of October.

Callao Cave is made up of seven chambers and various formations: the Column, Chapel, Skeleton, Elephant’s Head, Praying Angel, Rocket, Lion’s Head and Dog’s Head Formations. The Chapel, being featured in many tourism ads and postcards, is the main attraction of the cave (and of the whole Cagayan), it is a chamber turned into a cathedral by the locals. The place draws a dramatic picture as the skylight illuminates the hall through its opening.
A newly-described species of human living between 50,000 and 67,000 years ago, Homo Luzonensis, discovered in the cave was confirmed in 2019.

Luzon is bounded by the Philippine Sea (East), Sibuyan Sea (South), and the West Philippine Sea (West). It is roughly rectangular in shape and extends to the South and Southeast (where the Bicol peninsula is located). Apart from the main island, Luzon also includes the islands of Palawan, Mindoro, Catanduanes, Masbate, Marinduque and Polillo.

Prominent water forms are the Lingayen Gulf, Lamon Bay, Laguna de Bay, Taal Lake and Manila Bay. Predominantly characterized by plains and flat terrains, there are also mountainous ranges of Cordillera Central, Sierra Madre, and isolated volcanoes and mountains such as the Mt. Mayon and the highest peak of Luzon – Mt. Pulag.

Mount Pulag is Luzon’s highest peak at 2,926 metres (9,600 ft) above sea level. The borders between the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya meet at the mountain's peak.
It is the third highest mountain in the Philippines, next to Mount Apo and Mount Dulang-dulang. Mount Pulag is famous for its "sea of clouds" and the view of the Milky Way Galaxy at dawn, which has attracted many tourists who wish to see the "other-worldly" scenery.
