The suspension has been officially lifted following the completion of the required inspection.

ADVISORY | SUSPENSION OF TRIPS – M/V HONDURAS

As-salamu ’alaykum.

Please be advised that all trips of M/V HONDURAS are hereby SUSPENDED effective immediately in compliance with the Suspension Order issued by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) dated August 23, 2026.

The suspension is in connection with the maritime incident involving M/V HONDURAS, which encountered an allision with M/V MARIA MATILDE at Berth 24, Port of Zamboanga, at around 7:00 AM on August 22, 2026.

The suspension shall remain in effect pending a thorough inspection and evaluation by MARINA, and until a favorable recommendation is issued confirming the integrity of the vessel and the safety of its operation.

📌 Accordingly, all scheduled trips of M/V HONDURAS, including the Zamboanga–Jolo–Zamboanga route, are suspended until further notice.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause to our passengers. The safety and security of our passengers, crew, and vessel remain our highest priority.

Passengers affected by the suspension may coordinate with our ticketing office regarding rebooking or refund arrangements.

For tickets purchased online through Barkota, please coordinate directly with Barkota for your rebooking or refund assistance.

Further updates will be posted on our official page as soon as they become available.

We ask for your patience and understanding while we comply with the necessary safety and regulatory requirements.

Passengers with confirmed bookings may visit our ticketing office for rebooking assistance. Those who booked through Barkota may contact Barkota directly for rebooking or refund options.

TRIP RESUMPTION ADVISORY 📢

The temporary suspension of sea travel has been lifted, and our trips have resumed today.

Passengers whose trips were affected last Tuesday, July 7, 2026, and wish to rebook may visit our Ticketing Office for assistance.

For bookings made through the Barkota website, passengers may request a refund by managing their booking here:

For bookings purchased through a ticket outlet or travel agency, they may coordinate directly with the outlet where they bought their ticket, as the refund request will be processed through them.
