Sharing a few moments from our guests from Mexico, who recently experienced Pakistan with Crossroads Adventure. 🇲🇽🇵🇰
For their journey to Fairy Meadows, the group reached Raikot from two different directions, some coming from Naran and others from Shigar. They met at Raikot for lunch before continuing together.
From there, local 4WD jeeps took them to Tato Village, followed by around 2.5 hours of hiking through the mountains and pine forests to reach Fairy Meadows.
It takes a little effort to get here, but perhaps that is part of what makes Fairy Meadows so special. The smiles in these pictures probably tell the story better than we can.
For anyone planning to experience Fairy Meadows, here are a few practical things worth knowing:
• Moderate fitness is necessary if you plan to hike to Fairy Meadows.
• You will be staying at over 3,000 metres, so if you have any breathing or respiratory-related health condition, it is important to seek medical advice before planning the hike or overnight stay.
• Pack light. Depending on your itinerary, you will normally need to carry only what you require for a day or two. Your main luggage can remain at Raikot while you take a small backpack with you.
• Carry your essential personal medicines and some basic medication with you.
• The jeep track from Raikot to Tato Village is rough and bumpy. People with serious back problems should carefully consider whether the jeep ride is suitable for them.
• Try to leave Raikot no later than 2:00 PM. You still have the jeep ride and approximately 2.5 hours of hiking ahead, and it is always better to reach Fairy Meadows before dark.
A few memories from a beautiful corner of Pakistan with our guests from Mexico.
