No, this is not the Moon, but the Etna Volcano on Sicily!
🌋 Etna is an active volcano, and we actually witnessed an eruption just two days before our tour! Fortunately the eruption was small. In 2015 the was a big one with lava exploding a kilometer into the air! 😱
The tour we booked took us to about 2000 meters at the Silvestri craters, where we walked around the amazing craters.
🍷 The trip also included a visit to a local winery, where we had an amazing wine and local food tasting. (We'll post more about that later.)
