No I don’t want to pre make a family of 5’s breakfast, lunch and dinner for a week’s trip, thank you!

Mother’s load is real.

Every days a school day.

There’s no rushing to throw a dinner together because we have clubs and places to be like at home. We can take the time to cook a dinner together.

And everyone has to help!

This one goes off to uni next year and she needs to know how to feed herself well.

However we keep it simple with one pot wonders.

Cook food everyone will eat and you can use up all the stuff you’ve brought from home, plus it saves money on spenny dinners out.

These help with variety if your out all day and want food ready for when you get back to camp.

Carby dinners for the win!

And just like that the August 2026 eclipse was over 🌝🌓🌒🌚🌙
Next total solar eclipse is expected 23 September 2090 … hopefully the kids will be explaining to their kids where they were and the fact they were bored s**tless 🙄

How can it be cheaper to fly to Milan for lunch than it is to get the train to London! 🤯 the key is to have an early flight out/ late flight back with maximum time on the ground. Ryanair_European_Airline are always good at these sort of flights and I’m lucky their main hub is London Stansted which is my local airport. Let me know if you’re a fan or if it’s a hard no !!

I’ve been wanting to share the cost breakdown for a while but felt embarrassed and obviously massively privileged to take a trip like this, but you know what here it is. 🙃 I’d love to know what you think? I think 😅
I never take travelling for granted and purposefully try to use local guides, air b&b’s, and eat in local restaurants and street food vendors so my tourist pounds can somehow get reinvested in to the countries economy and I hope my kids are picking up on all these travel tips too. Fingers crossed 🤞

Part of our ten year plan is that we sell up and live in a van driving round Europe for a while. Until then we are doing some test runs in our OPUS UK 🇬🇧.
Two years ago we went on our first French road trip first to the Alps staying Huttopia Europe on the Lac du Serre Poncon. It was everything and more, we couldn’t believe we hadn’t heard of or stayed a Huttopia sites before. Look them up if you want some Europe camp site inspiration!
We drove 4 more hours to the south of France which if I’m honest wasn’t what we expected. Les Méditerranées ⭒ ⭒ ⭒ ⭒ ⭒ was a huge site, facilities were good, had everything you could wish for on a campsite but in contrast from where we had just come from we loved the calm vibe of the lake and Marseillan-plage was just a bit to in your face. The towns around this area though were stunning Sete and Marseillan gave the French summer town vibe we were after!
Next year we are planning an Austrian road trip so any tips are welcome ! Let me know if you have done a European road trip and your must places to go !!
