Today in Poland we celebrate Tłusty czwartek „Fat Thursday”🍩
This is the last Thursday before Lent.

The origins of Fat Thursday date back to paganism.

It was a day to celebrate the end of winter and the arrival of spring. The feast was based on eating fatty foods, especially meats, and drinking wine, and the snack was doughnuts made from bread dough and stuffed with bacon.

When in Poland, don't forget to eat at least one!
